Welcome to LDIARY

LDIARY (Lahden Diplomi-insinöörit ja Arkkitehdit ry) is a local association for holders of university-level technology degrees, including Master of Science (Technology) graduates, architects and other academic technology professionals in the Lahti region.

Founded in 1947, LDIARY brings together people who share an interest in technology, professional networking and student-engineering traditions. We organize company visits, excursions, social events and various activities inspired by Finnish teekkari culture.

Whether you are new to Lahti or have lived here for years, LDIARY offers a friendly way to meet like-minded people, expand your professional network and enjoy memorable experiences.

What We Do

Our activities combine professional development, networking and fun.

Typical events include:

Company and industrial site visits
Guest lectures and presentations
Social evenings and networking events
Traditional Finnish teekkari celebrations
Friendly competitions and quizzes
Outdoor and family-friendly activities
Seasonal traditions such as Raflingit and Salmon Roast events

The atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming and community-oriented. Many events are open to spouses, partners and family members as well.

Raflingit

A long-standing LDIARY tradition bringing together professionals from different academic associations for an evening of good food, networking, singing and light-hearted competition.

Salmon Roast (Lohenpaisto)

One of our oldest traditions. Members gather around a lakeside setting to enjoy salmon cooked over an open fire, great company and the Finnish outdoors.

Company Visits

We regularly visit local companies, production facilities and interesting organizations to learn about technology, innovation and business in the region.

Membership

You can apply for membership if you are:

A Master of Science in Technology (M.Sc. Tech.)
An architect
Another university-educated technology professional

Membership in TEK is not required.

Visit our membership page and submit an application. Applications are reviewed by the board, and new members are notified after approval.
